My Offering

My love to you I offer
with all my heart and soul.
And each day my aching heart
longs more and more to know -
Will you ever come back to me
and let your love return?
Will our broken pieces mend,
and give us that - for which we yearn?
Is the peace and joy we once knew
destined to come back again?
And will the happiness be ours
and thrill us just the same?
I have not wealth to offer you
nor, do I have great fame,
But I'll give you what's already yours
and love you more each day.
Yes, my love is what I'll offer
and your happiness will be my goal,
I'll pray that you'll return someday -
because I need you so!
